Funkis & Lilla Bruket
In between meetings today, I found myself on Oxford Street in Paddington, Sydney. Don't be fooled by the name though, this 'Oxford Street' is filled with independent boutiques, New York inspired interiors and modelesque shop assistants.
I had the pleasure of visiting the flagship Funkis store, known for their mix of Australian and Swedish labels, it effortlessly marries both homeware and fashion. Even the most colour shy will be tempted by the coral tunics & bird printed dresses.
I was particularly drawn to the wide range of clogs dotted around the store. Each style is designed & made in Sweden using leather and locally sourced timber. Even with the highest heel, each style is surprisingly comfortable to wear. But, could they work amidst the rain and grey storms of London?
One product that I know will work here and at home is the gorgeous sage hand cream from 'Lilla Bruket'. Rows and rows of their delicious handmade spa products line the shelves of Funkis. 'Lilla Bruket' describe their style as a "bit rough and rustic mixed with a romantic touch ". I love their packaging and think it would fit into any interior.
Prices are a little high but Funkis organic goods and Eco ethos ensure that every purchase has the added feel-good bonus.
Now what can I fit in my suitcase?
