Oka's 2013 Summerhouse

Last week I was invited to Oka’s trade preview for the launch of their 2013 Summer Collection, at their flagship store in Chelsea.

For the event Oka created a gorgeous two-room set, displaying their new furniture and accessories, all inspired by idyllic farmhouse designs. Hats off to the Oka stylists, as both the showroom and the brochure achieve their aim to provide “beautiful, inviting pieces with fresh and colourful textiles."

A few pieces of furniture that caught my eye were the Trifolgio Range, a set of coffee, console and side tables that had a beautiful nod towards Moroccan styles yet still remained rooted in traditional English elegance.

Another feature that stood out for me was the shell curtain holdback. I am currently working on a summer retreat in Cornwall, so I will be using these shells to add a soft marine influence to the master bedroom.

Also don’t forget that if you are on a budget, Oka offer a bespoke soft furnishing service with made to measure curtains and headboards. If you are looking to add a few fresh touches to your home this summer, you would do a lot worse than to look at the Oka Summer accessories.
