Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, I always love experiencing this magical green haven and as ever it did not disappoint. As soon as you enter the shop you are overwhelmed by the level of style possessed by owners Gael & Francesco Boglione. Every item is expertly sourced, curated and stylized to tempt even the most indecisive shopper.
Everywhere you look there is something new and inspiring, I was especially struck by the gorgeous table settings and oversized glass baubles.
The rustic and natural interior provides the perfect backdrop for the exquisite crystal and cut-glass decorations. The smaller decorations are taken from chandeliers dating from 1910 to 1950, there are also very special large drops finished with glass flowers or faceted crystal buttons which are called ‘pendaloques’ and have been taken from French Chandeliers (1940-1950).
If you get a chance to visit Petersham Café do try the ‘Almond Crusted Lemon Sole with Fennel & Jerusalem Artichoke Salad’, it was absolutely delicious.
