After a hectic six days in Australia, I was finally able to sit down this morning and read the January edition of www.matchbookmag.com, a monthly online lifestyle and interiors magazine from the US. I loved reading the interview with Harper Poe of ‘Proud Mary’, an “ethnic-modern” accessories company that promotes bright colours and bold designs. In 2008, Harper and a business partner launched the company with the aim to “bridge the gap between fair trade and on-trend / fast fashion.”
Proud Mary works with global artisans in the developing world to create their own line of home and personal accessories. All of their items are meticulously sourced and curated. I especially love the Mamba cushion and think it would work perfectly on my linen chesterfield. Named after the deadliest snake in Africa, this black and gold scale patterned pillow will add a good dose of sophistication to the room.
